“ This a very small and local spot and the only give away is the fresh tortilla they are making on the corner outside. It's connected to the mezcal store and when we went mezcal tasting we didn't realize it until we walked back for dinner. We started off with a traditional specialty called Tlayuda tipca which has black beans, Oaxaca cheese and arrechero served folder in half quesadilla style. Then as had the tamale with mole and tostadas with chorizo. The tortillas here are not like any other I have had anywhere else in Mexico. For the Tlayuda it was paper thin and crispy but for the tostadas, it was thicker and very soft and fluffy. The mole is incredible and probably my favorite dish of the meal. This was one of the best finds so far that hasn't been from a cart, street vendor or a lady walking around with a bucket of tamales.....which you definitely shouldn't miss that either!!!! ”
